Classrooms
A class is a group of students learning with a teacher. The teacher shares lessons; students join with a code, study them, and can later keep everything they learned on an account of their own.
For teachers
Class creation is available to teachers on the Teacher Pro plan, from the Classes page.
- Create a class and get its join code — write it on the board, and students use it to join
- Share a lesson to the class shelf: students get it as it is at that moment, in the order you set
- Choose who the class is for — younger students, or older students and adults — which changes only the wording students see
- The roster shows every student's progress on each shared lesson, without any email address
- Reset a student's PIN if they forget it, or remove a student from the class
- Archive a class when it's over: students keep what they started, and you can unarchive it any time
Teacher Pro raises the number of classes, students per class and shared lessons per class above the free defaults, and includes paid-plan lesson creation for your own lessons.
For students
No email needed to start: join with the class code, a nickname and a PIN.
- Open the join page, enter the class code, choose a nickname and a 4-digit PIN — that's your sign-in from now on
- Your class shows the lessons your teacher shared; open one and it's yours to study
- Already have a Zollang account? Join with it instead, and keep everything in one place
- Class accounts are made for studying the shared lessons: creating your own lessons and the other paid features show a short explanation instead of opening
- Forgot your PIN? Ask your teacher to reset it
Save your progress
A class account has no email — so if it's lost, its progress is lost. Saving your progress adds one.
- 1Open "Save your progress" and enter your birth year; it only decides whether a parent needs to help, and isn't saved
- 2Younger students add a parent's email, and the parent agrees; older students add their own
- 3Enter the code from the email and you're done: the account now signs in with that email, everything you learned stays, and the whole app is unlocked
