Account

Everything about your account lives in Settings — except your learning languages and your level, which you change where you use them.

Opening Settings

Settings is one click away from anywhere in the app.

1Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
2Choose "Settings" from the menu.
3Switch between the Account, Subscription and Security tabs.

Signing in

There's no password to remember unless you want one.

Sign in with your email: we send a sign-in code to your address each time
Or continue with Google — and, in the Zollang app, with Apple
In the app you can start as a guest and create an account later; your lessons and words move with you

Profile

Who you are on Zollang.

Change your name and your profile picture
See the email address your account signs in with, and since when you're a member
Tell us whether you're learning for yourself, as a student, or as a teacher

Subscription

Your plan, your renewal date, and how to change them.

See your current plan and credits, upgrade, change or cancel it
On the web, payments are managed in the billing portal; in the app, through your app store subscription

Security & your data

Keep your account safe, and take your data with you.

Set or change a password — sensitive changes ask you to confirm it's you
Two-factor authentication is coming soon
Download a copy of your data: your profile, lessons, vocabulary, saved sentences, conversation transcripts and activity, as one file
Delete your account, with a grace period to change your mind (below)

Languages and level

Three settings, each where you use it.

In the Zollang app

The app's Settings screen has a few extras.

Appearance: light, dark or follow the system
Analytics consent: choose whether the app may send anonymous usage statistics
Your app store subscription, if you subscribed in the app

Deleting your account

Permanently delete your account and all associated data.

30-day grace period

When you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time:

Your account is disabled right away
You can cancel the deletion by signing in and restoring your account
After 30 days, your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted

What gets deleted

Your profile and personal information
Your vocabulary, review history, progress and achievements
Your saved sentences and lists
Your classes, including the accounts of students who joined with a class code
Any remaining credits (non-refundable)

Export your data first

Before deleting your account, download a copy of your data from Settings → Security. It includes your vocabulary, sentences, lessons and activity in a portable format.
